Whoa. You guys came to play! We got over 200 entries for the DEAR TEEN ME contest, and we are both delighted and shocked and...well, exhausted after reading so many heartfelt entries!
First of all, I want to thank everyone who entered. This is a very personal writing endeavor and I know it's hard to put yourselves out there so I hope you all give yourselves a hug for me!
Secondly, I want to thank my co-judges, $wreckling, =Cassildra, ^neurotype and ~Vocable. I think I would have drowned in letters if it weren't for you guys!
SO. Without further ado, here are your winners!

Prompt 13: The Beginning!

The new deadline for this prompt is October 23rd. Partly to give you all more time to mangle our mother tongue, but mostly because I'm on holiday, today is my partner's 30th birthday, and I really can't be arsed writing an article to close it off. Take advantage of my laziness. Get to work!
There's just ONE WEEK LEFT to submit to this prompt. One week to get down and dirty with the English language, 2 Girls 1 Cup style. We've only had three entries so far, and anyway, it's not suprising Your Seperating sperm ring dimensions are smaller versus the Conventional paper measurement, so get writing now!
I've learnt two important lessons since the last #transliterations prompt, lessons I feel are worth sharing. The first is that I like this place and I miss it when I'm not around. Louder Than a Bomb Poetry Slam
In 2013, #Elocutionists will be hosting its first spoken word competition, dubbed 'Louder Than a Bomb' (named after the Chicago Poetry Slam of the same name). The competition will consist of writers either having their work performed to their specifications by readers or representing themselves in the competition with their own recordings. There may also be the possibility of two categories to enter: a category for individual slam poets and another for groups. If you are not aware of what a poetry slam is, here is a quick definition and rundown of some basic, universal rules:
A poetry slam is a competitive event in which poets perform their work and are judged by members of the audience. Everyone who signs up has the opportunity to read in the first round; the lineup for subsequent rounds is determined by the judges' scores. Though rules vary from slam to slam, the basic rules are

A Hunt For Literature Begins!!!The new year is upon us, and so is the Literature Scavenger Hunt!!!
The Challenge
This week, #CRLiterature will be hosting a literature scavenger hunt. A scavenger hunt is typically defined as a game played in an extensive outdoor area, in which participants have to collect a number of miscellaneous objects. Our scavenger hunt will be played in the Literature gallery here on deviantART and will have deviants searching high and low for literature deviations that match the items on the list for the hunt. There's a total of 60 deviations to be found (20 poetry, 20 Prose, 5 Script, and 15 general items).
Here is a quick rundown of the all-powerful rules

You will have 5 days to locate the deviations, starting on Jan 7 12:00 AM EST and ending on Jan 11 11:59 PM EST.

Post a link to the deviation along with what number it is in this journal to receive a point.
